Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.
Today’s prompt: Write a piece of prose or poetry that uses the words child, predators, and politics
Happy Writing!
A draft, because I have to get back to work:
Politicians for dinner
What’s for dinner tonight mummy?
Politicians, of course.
Not again, not again.
We’ve had politicians for dinner all week.
What are you complaining about child?
Other predators make do with non-partisan prey
I serve you the flavoured ones.
Do you want yours red or blue today?
The grill is hot and I’m about to start cooking.
If you want politics free food
Go hunt your own
But beware of anarchists
They’re chewy

Caught
Caught! a child predator,
now locked up, seen no more.
But Leaders can always grant pardons,
a law that is quite disheartening.
Some steeped in egotistical politics
have no moral compass, no ethics.
