The baristas at Go Dog Go Cafe are big fans of Pay It Forward Thursdays. We think it is a great opportunity to give a shout-out to another writer who has wowed us or creatively inspired us. It a great way to share the love and pass it on to the readers. It also becomes a great pool for excellent reading stuff by your fellow readers of the WordPress community.
You are invited to post one link to one specific post of poetry, short story, or flash fiction, 300 words or less please, from someone else’s blog in the comments below.
Happy reading!
“Monster” is hands down the most fascinating, honest, and engaging post I’ve seen in months — including my own posts.

Why this post? You may ask. The answer is it made me release a sigh of releaf and I smile instantly. Felt light at heart and free of sudden gloominess. God bless this poor creature.

I could have shared several links to some great writing today! There must be something in the air – springtime, perhaps. Here’s my selection – https://vjknutson.org/2019/03/19/levitating-2/

1.
I breathe smoke
from the fire
warming our feet
Something is not right
but not wrong
yet
like the bones’ dance
on wires
in a bad dream
Fear’s sharp blade twists
burning with the slow
heat of coals
2.
I cannot read ashes
the message
of cracked stones in desert light
nor the poetry
of the cow’s skull
white on dark sand
What right has a man
And the snake’s
quivering tongue tasting
what the air brings to him
