By Charles Robert Lindholm
In The Backside Of The Night
I Sit In Silence
In Flickering Candlelight
Listening
For The Whispered
Words Of My Muse
So I Can Write
Poems On A Page
Of White Paper
With My Pen
In Red Ink
That Flows
From My Heart
Scribbling Words
Into Poems On A Page
With The Same Passion And Joy
As A Child With His Crayons
Creates A Masterpiece
Of Refrigerator Art

Thank you so much Gina for you sweet comment!!! I always love it when any of my words reach out to you!!! Yes, that creativity is there for life. It’s great when it can survive the naysayers of childhood to survive into adulthood!!! Hope your week is going great!!!

I like that you scribble the words/poems with the same joy as a child who scribbles a drawing to hang on the fridge…no doubt proud of the final draft.

The comparison to a child with crayons is brilliant. Never a thought I have had. But it would be nice to see my own work on the refrigerator once again. Loved it.

Ohhhh, My Dear, you make me blush! (you have a talent for that). I loved that the thought came to me at the very end. A simple joy and passion! I’ll have to see if I can find a photo of a refrigerator that I can post your works on for my laptop!! So happy this reached out to you. You’ve made me and my words very happy! You know how to make my day!! Hope your week is going great!!
