Thank you Gina, and our world is a terribly complicated place these days, and I so wish for peace in our time. It bothers me a lot, but I’m going to try and relax more, and let my heart wander back towards myself, I seem to be draining my energies and I need to refocus. xx

you need some time away from those thoughts, there is also beauty in the world, it’s hidden among the nasty things we have to endure but it is there. Refocus them on the ordinary beauty around you ok. No more tears.

Yes, I know Gina, and will do some refocusing…. oh, but there’ll always be a little tear or two from Ivor , tears of joy… Ok…

Hello Everyone.
Close to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds. And, for every person committing suicide, there are 20 who have attempted it (Data from WHO).
We need to help our fellow human beings. They need to know that the world doesn’t become a “better place” after they leave. They need to understand that they will leave a void so deep, it can’t be filled. They need to know they are loved.
So, I wrote this poem from 3 perspectives: a. The victim before the attempt; b. The victim during the attempt; c. A loved one after the attempt.
Please read and spread the word and love.

This is a sketch written in response to a WOD prompt suggestion. I had been thinking about a book I read some time ago, Rough Trip Through Paradise, by Andy Garcia. In the book, Garcia tells of searching what we now call the Big Hole Battlefield with his Nez Perce wife for the remains of a relative, her father, I believe.
That got me thinking about a people trying to flee and find sustenance in a once beloved, now hostile country.
