A piece on writer rejection I wrote today. Thanks for the opportunity to share it here. https://someplaceinsydney.wordpress.com/2022/10/31/on-writer-rejection/

Hi Rose, I agree that “template rejections” are prominent … These days I have abandoned the system and I am now self-publishing through a local establishment, ‘Jaymah Press’ … I have already 2 books published and I am in the process of a third book, maybe by Easter …

I am sure they could relate to the bedpans, quirky patients and soap and water enema stories of years past.

A sad story but in reality the situation is far too true and common in our modern society …

That is true. I happen to know people who have lived this way, and I wanted to express that everything isn’t sunshine and rainbows.

I could really associate with this story Nancy … my lovely niece Kerri, from Philadelphia loves going to the beach during summer, and her parents get her a special beach Wheelchair so she can enjoy the sand and even wheel into the water … oh but your finale twist is very sad

Sad indeed. I kept thinking of the lyrics “And the band played on” as if no matter how awful things got, the world would keep spinning and the band would keep playing. From those words alone I came up with the sad ending for the poor little boy. Sometimes things do not end well. Thanks for your comments and you heart-warming story about your niece Kerri.
