I choked on the smoke in 2020, I am choking again right now. It keeps getting worse now, over and over again, but climate change disasters are so commonplace, we have become desensitized to the threat — and that is the true disaster. I share this piece I wrote two summers ago.

TOTAL: 80 wildfires — 648,275 acres — wildfires contained = only 3
