Apologies for the hiatus!!!
Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.
For today’s prompt, use the words ghoul, blood, and infant in a piece of writing
Well, this prompt seems topical…
Ghouls
Is it ghoulish
to think
that life
is more
than a small collection of cells
in a uterus.
Is it ghoulish
to think
that
the life of the mother
and the spillage
of her blood
count for less
than the small collection of cells
in her uterus
that are unable to bleed.
Is it ghoulish
to think
that infant life
needs love
as it grows
and support networks
and things that cost
society
dear
through life
if it does not supply them.
Is it ghoulish
to ask
how
the highest court
in the land
was taken over
by ghouls.

Chameleon
His appearance is that
of an infant–sweet
face, bouncy curls.
When darkness sets
in, his true self
within emerges–a ghoul
who is out for blood.
