Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge: February 22, 2022

Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.

The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

Today’s prompt: Write a poem about standing up to an enemy, or an obstacle in your life.

    My Best Friend

    I remember. it well.
    She was my best friend,
three years older and a prefect.
    It was a cold day
and we wanted to stay inside and read
not walk up and down aimlessly.
    The rules didn’t allow it.
I wrote us a note as if from a teacher.
    She grassed me up.
    I was in big trouble!
    I remember. it well.
    And so will she.

  3. I Sick of your Shit

I had enough I told it
    I’m not taking your shit
You cancer causing piece of crap
No longer will I be trapped
    I will flick you away
start a new year a new day
    breathing better soon
    feeling stronger soon

  5. Yellow Roses

    He lied once again
    He brought me roses
    He stayed out too late
    He brought me roses
    He threw a hard chair
    He brought me roses
    He broke the windshield
    He brought me roses
    He punched through the wall
    He brought me roses
No longer in my life now.
    No more sad yellow roses.
    Now my flowers are joyful
