Thank you for the opportunity to share a post. Should poets explain their work? https://kmorrispoet.com/2022/02/07/should-poets-explain-their-poetry-2/

A well produced article Kevin, and your words are truly relatable for me … Yes I’m loath to explain the context of my poems, for the same reasons that you brought forward … haha .. and sometimes I don’t know what my poems are about anyhow … ((just a gathering of jumble words !!))

Thanks Ivor.
I sometimes feel the same as you, that I have produced a jumble of words and I, myself am not certain as to the meaning of my poem. However, I do (usually) understand what I was driving at in my poetry!
All the best. Kevin

Hi Everyone,
I run a weekly challenge that runs from Thursday to Wednesday called #writephoto.
I ask all entrants to use the image and prompt as inspiration to create a post on their own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, as long as it is fairly family-friendly. I then re-blog those throughout the week including a complete round-up the following Thursday.
Everyone is welcome, so please come along if you would like to join in.
Link to latest prompt: https://new2writing.wordpress.com/2022/02/03/writephoto-walkers/
Hope to see you there.

Dying calla lillies, and empty bleeding stumps .. wow … sorry..
i am a mere man
her glass jar
folds in my hand
housing her lonely star
like lava bleeding into the sea
her beckoning green eyes
did melt me

“Peanuts” was a bit off beat, but life is a bit off beat, grown-ups are always off the beat … in reality, we are all off the beat … and we should all be back dancing on the streets …
