Writer’s Block/Make it Happen Thursday – February 3, 2022

Welcome to Writer’s Block-Make it Happen Thursday! Do you have days where you can’t put the pen to paper? This is the day of the week where all members of the Go Dog Go Cafe community come together with resolutions.

Writer’s block happens to the best of us for one reason or another. Whether it be distractions, lack of specific goals, mental fatigue, or just one of those days, to mention a few.

We encourage you to share your ideas in the comments below or leave a link to a post from your own blog on the subject of writer’s block.

While you’re here, why not post a link for a writer you appreciate along with a brief comment as to why you feel they are special. This way we get to meet new writers and perhaps learn a thing or two by reading their work.

We feel ongoing discussions along with sharing the works of other writers will benefit all of us.

Please join in every Thursday!

  1. Since I run a weekly prompt on my blog, Eugi’s Causerie (,https://amanpan.com), I meet many excellent writers. With that said, I am sharing the link to a blogger that I feel masters the Senryu form of poetry. Goff James showcases his poetry, art, and/or photography on a daily basis. https://goffjamesart.wordpress.com/2022/02/03/poetry-senryu-fluff-between-his-toes-a-poem-by-goff-james/

I find if I draw a blank when it comes to writing, I select an image and stick it right in the middle of my blank page. It helps spark my creativity and maybe this will help you too.

  2. In the past I’ve tried taking breaks from writing, though they’ve tended to get kind of long and distracting. Recently I’ve tried setting up a morning routine to work on it first thing when I turn the computer on. Sadly, though, I seem to be running out of steam again.
