Today’s prompt: Write a poem using the phrase “devil’s kiss”
Many thanks for the prompt!
Sparked
He looked down
at her.
Eyes deliberately
downcast.
lips not expecting
to be met.
So it was
a surprise
when she kissed him.
His eyebrows twitched
with the charge,
There was a spark.
The spark.
The spark
that lay in a devil’s kiss.
The spark
that would ignite the fire
which would consume him.

a late October sun still warms the day
as oranged leaves float effortlessly to the ground
I am wary of winds that quickly change
the bite of winter is bitter as a devil’s kiss

The Picnic
A picnic in the woods
did not go as it should.
He pressed his lips to hers,
her face burned red, eyes blurred.
She said, That was a devil’s kiss–
You can bet I’m not your Miss.
