Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.
Today’s prompt: Write about an inanimate object in your home that you can’t do without, but don’t name it

Here is my effort! A fun prompt!
Suck It Up
Suck it up I said.
You missed that bit
which means I’ll have to engage
in a struggle to dismantle you
and then put yo back together
with all your bits facing
the right direction.
Suck it up I said.
That was too strong,
there goes the rug
consumed by you again!
What are you trying to prove?
There was really no need
to exert your full power
in that situation.
I think I’ll turn you off.
it’s me who has the power
when push comes to shove.

Interesting prompt: This is mine without a doubt!
Not alive but living still! Commands me all day and night as well.
Orders me WHEN to go here or there; do this or that! Appointments, don’t be late. It is everywhere I go, hanging all around. I see them, I hear them tick-tocking, almost mocking, impossible to stop!

I accidentally put the wrong pingback here. I really hope it can be erased
This one is a bit scratchy. I’m a bit scratchy. I didn’t devote the full 15 minutes to it. But I haven’t had a coffee yet ……
Hiss and bubble
Yes sir! No trouble!
I’ll serve you in a second
A frothing cup
Is coming up
As from my sleep I’m beckoned
Just for you
A steaming brew
Prepared your special way
You are so nice
To greet me thus each day
