Indeed he does not. Time is deaf to us all. I wrote in another poem of mine, “he has no ears for our laughter and tears, and his sickle will swing on long after we are gone”. Thanks for commenting, Ivor. Kevin

Yes … that instant feeling/emotion is the one I try to capture .. sometimes it works, other times the thoughts dissipate …
“As a poet, sometimes we confuse ourselves, Trying to create ashes, instead of fire ” … Leonard Cohen

Like an annoying tic-toc of a clock … does this dissipate … or go, on and go … is it a permanent condition .. Cheers.. 🤗💛

It goes on and on. Some days worse than others, often triggered by stress. I wrote this at a writer’s conference where I felt out of place and lonely. A bad Tourette weekend for sure.

Your 2nd stanza eloquently captured the emotions we feel ..
“Focused on pleasures
That our bodies are sending
Ignoring the messages
That are being written
In between the lines”
