Days Gone By- Michael Erickson

Do you wonder at days gone by,

When worlds were younger with mountains so steep?

The skies a bit more alien than this sure blue,

Or perhaps throats long silenced now sing?

A time where man was in its infancy,

And the world beyond an open door lay waiting to be explored.

This is my wish to wander upon land unseen,

With tools upon my back and stars to guide me.

Set sail upon open water,

Where creatures of the deep never before seen breach.

And as a lone soul pass between towering titans,

That were once only legends made in flesh.

Travel upon fields of green,

Who’s only break are forests wild and untamed.

Something deep within calls for a chance to see,

Naught but what Mother Nature has created.

Come for a time and wander with me,

And wonder at what was and will always be.
