Happy Monday everyone!
I don’t have a poem for this week. So, here’s a great writing tip I’ve learned: https://robinleeann.com/2021/05/21/best-way-to-show-instead-of-tell/
Have a great rest of your week!

I’m not educated into WW and LoG. What’s it about? I will admit I thought their were deer cavorting in that cloud. Maybe I need to read Walt…

W W and LoG is a fascinating read .. for an 1860’s poetry book 📚😊 and probably a bit beyond my humble knowledge of poetry .. but nevertheless I am giving it a go .. and soon I’ll be seeing deer 🦌 on the pier 🦌

Happy Monday! Early in May, I wrote about writer’s block. https://bilocalalia.wordpress.com/2021/05/05/geography-of-writers-block/ I was hoping it would give me momentum to write more, but the slump continued, so I tried translating some poetry. I found a contemporary Italian writer about my age, and asked for permission to translate and post her poems. I plan to do one a week, if possible. https://bilocalalia.wordpress.com/2021/05/13/giorni-tediosi-by-gabriella-paci/ How do you deal with slumps, if you have them?
LikeLiked by 2 people
I usually deal with slumps by taking a break from writing. I’ll play some video games, paint, go outside, etc. Sometimes doing something else helps my creative flow.

“Follow Thomas Slatin on his journey from his playful beginnings as the only child of an atomic engineer to public servant to published writer. In this autobiographical collection of essays, you will gain insight not only into the mind of a young creative genius, but also the struggles that come with sky-high expectations for someone with such innate talents.”
