Darling my dreams of
the sea ocean spray
swiftly carried me
your words of adoration.
Almost accidentially
I heard the whispers of
winsome woes,
your love.
If indefinite impossibilites
shall keep caverns
between us,
then I shall patiently
practice pensive
meditation
until we meet.
This poem was written on the last day of March 2020. I think it encapsulates my hope for the spring and everything happening in the world. Thanks for joining me to reminisce about the early days of quarantine and what emotions we held. I hope you are well as your life has changed so much from last year. Let’s keep writing and exploring.Photo by Carlos Aguilar on Unsplash
Liyona is an “average joe” kind of writer who likes to think about ordinary things and then write them down. Ever since she can remember, she has been rhyming words and creating lyric poems. During her college years, she took a more serious bent toward writing and started to post on her blog (The Life and Times of a Quirky Character.) Currently, she resides on the East Coast of the United States just north of the country’s capital.
