Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15 minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

Sunday At The Cinema
Our first date was her idea: movies
at the upscale porno cinema downtown:
Leather And Lace and Cumming Home.
I had asked her out to dinner, but…
She said she’d never been there before
but the buxom babe in the ticket booth
and the overly solicitous usher, grinning,
unintentionally let her cat out of the bag.
We had a couple of pre-show cocktails
and played a little footsie under the table;
each of us shared a little Ex- history and
opted for Red-Hots instead of popcorn.
We went in to watch the show. It wasn’t
as high-budget as we’d hoped, but it wasn’t
bad, either. It wasn’t until I took her home
we knew that we’d both seen it all before.
All things considered, a good first date;
she asked if I was free again on Tuesday…

Here you go!
Ankle Boots
I bought them in a sale,
brown ankle boots
divided down the centre,
one half shiny leather
the other suede.
They were cheap,
really cheap.
One had been kept in its own dark box,
the other displayed in the sunny shop window.
So one was faded,
the other not.
But it soon caught up
and then they were a perfect match.
I love them still, old as they are.
A lace broke years ago
and was replaced
by one slightly rounder,
but it doesn’t show
so no one knows
the difference.
And I love them still,
my old brown boots,
well worn but still going,
a bit like me!
