A new month has arrived and it is bright but chilly. Here are three little haiku to mark its arrival. I hope you enjoy them.

February seems
the coldest month; now winter
chases after spring
https://marianvjones.com/2021/01/31/snowdrops/
Brave little snowdrops
all shivering in the breeze
a horse snorts and stamps
https://marianvjones.com/2021/01/31/whispering/
White skeletal trees
whispering in the forest
tell of an ice storm

True! Luckily my neighborhood kids were still able to spend time outside. (we got a bit more than a dusting!) But with everything happening, it is sad that joy of the snow day isn’t felt the same way.
