Happy Halloween – Eugenia

advising caution as tales unfold

ghostly selfies to behold

pale moon shines eerie light

as pallid figures stalk the night

shushed echos the forest breathes

legends dwell in gnarley trees

amidst the chaos we must meet

but keep your distance at six feet

world’s tired of hapless charades

masked facades and masquerades

best be prepared for a full blue moon

nature’s treat under which we swoon

coming upon us this Halloween

a ghostly event under quarantine
