We are all looking far and wide,
For something better than what surrounds us.
Between mountains high and valleys deep,
Our hopes glide free as open sails.
Each mind is a hope-filled bearing vessel,
Waiting to plant rich seeds upon a chosen shore.
Some run aground with hopeless thoughts,
While others sink beneath waves where all is lost.
As I sail about this harsh world,
I’ve experience the rising seas and woeful doldrums.
And now realize what I am about,
With hands laiden full of green stuffs.
I toss these seeds of paradise overboard,
And watch as paradise grows along each shore.
The world beyond my steering rudder,
Fills with life unending.
Everywhere I turn the green does follow me,
Filling my wanting heart with more.
I hope others find these places so living,
That they can hope and desire once more.
Now I know the deepest secret of my life,
‘Tis in the journey where paradise is actually found.
