Partnership with “Life in Quarantine-Witnessing Global Pandemic” Project by CESTA, Stanford University, California, USA–Megha Sood

I’m extremely elated to share the news of my partnership with the Project Life in Quarantine- Witnessing Global Pandemic ” with Standford University, California, USA.

The project has been sponsored by CESTA ( Centre for Spatial and Textual Analysis ) and Poetic Media Lab at Stanford University. The project has been spearheaded by Nelson Endebo, Farah Bazzi, ELLIS Schriefer, and Amir Eshel. I am acting as a partner to expand the literary section of the website. We are responsible for creating a historical archive documenting the effect of the current pandemic in the literary community. We will be procuring works of literary arts for the creative arts section of the website. I’ll be working alongside one of the research assistants, Ariana Davenparah, for the same.

Life in Quarantine’s team goal is an attempt to collect, document, and demonstrate the COVID-19’s varied effects on peoples’ lives through personal accounts. Through this historical archive of lived experience, we are trying to promote cultural and personal interconnectedness and solidarity. This will help people invested in coming up with strategies for future pandemics to understand people’s needs and fears. It will also help future historians to write a historical narrative that takes into account the plethora of experiences that existed.

You can know more about the project here. and my role here.

Exciting things happening. Keep watching this space.

Happy Blogging!!
