Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15 minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

Here’s my contribution..
Beyond Our Control
Beneath the surface of the night
the daylight is hiding.
I saw it disappear
as the sun sank
beneath
the straight line of the horizon.
It’s still there somewhere,
hiding here
but showing itself
shining roundly
somewhere else
in a different place,
a different hemisphere.
That’s how it works
this day and night business
that’s in control,
that tells the flowers
when to close up their petals
and the animals to sleep
and dream.
Every day
it happens,
a shining
sinking
miracle
hiding
beyond our control.

love from LA ❤
“blackened gold”
lips caress
the pain from my mind
blue eyes stroke my dying soul
beneath the surface of the black night
while in the frenzy of Danzig’s song you offer me a sip of water puffing away at native tobacco plucking at Goldie’s chords your life rearranged across your chest just a foreword to the quest that brought us two together
