Beautiful Dreamer by Liyona

How lovely

My darling

Your spirit is quite

How lovely

My darling

You love is like night

To drink

To be merry

To sing of heart strings

Oh, beautiful dreamer

The world is all ours

How lovely

My lover

Your heart is a fire

How lovely

My lover

Your eyes, my desire

To drink

To be merry

To dine

On fine wine

Oh beautiful dreamer

The world is all ours

This poem is directly inspired by the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge found here at Go Dog Go Cafe. The prompt this time was “beautiful dreamer”. I am working through older prompts to help spark my imagination. Tune in tomorrow to see the new challenge for this week! Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash

Currently, she resides on the East Coast of the United States just north of the country’s capital.

  1. You have a very beautiful voice, Liyona. It’s lovely! ❤ It adds so much to the poem, it's amazing.

I hope you don't think this to be odd, but after listening to it, I got my six-string out and found the chords that would accompany your vocals.

If I have them right, it would be:

    Main: D G A D
    Chorus: G A G D

When I played along, it seemed to fit the notes you sang.

Anyway, once again this is quite a beautiful poem. Set to music, it's stunning and pretty. You have an amazing voice! That's a talent.
