Body Invasion

“Fate whispers to the warrior, ‘You cannot withstand the storm.’ The warrior whispers back, ‘I am the storm.’” – Unknown

You are not welcome here begone
For this is a body of peace and grace
There is no place for the likes of you
Lurking undercover my skin and bone
Trying to invade my sacred space
How dare you feast on my flesh
Insinuate yourself into my life
I’m telling you now
You will not win over me
Love will conquer you
Strength will conquer you
Faith will conquer you
So you’d best retreat
Back to hell
Running with your tail
Between your insidious legs
Howling at the blood moon
Over your resounding defeat
While the sky full of brilliant stars
Rejoices and sings with me
Of my valiant victory for
I AM A WARRIOR

Dear Readers: I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Surgery is scheduled for July 6th. I am humbly asking for prayers, healing light, positive thoughts, and love vibes. You are such an amazing community of warriors, magical thinkers, poets, and storytellers and I cherish you all. – With Peace and Love, Linda

  1. One thing to remember is that being diagnosed with cancer is no longer a death sentence. There are many options and treatments. Keep the faith, try to stay positive. Rely on and ask for help from loved ones. They’ll want to but won’t know how to help. So tell them. Put yourself first. Good luck. Be honest with docs and nurses about everything, including pain so they know how to help you too.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you! It’s amazing to read all the support from all of us here. Best of luck and remember you are still you, and not just your diagnosis. (It’s what all my cancer patients would tell each other when I cared for them.) 🧡
