Tap,tap,tap
My heart drumming
Beating with ferocity
Filling me with anxiety
Clouding my head with all the ‘what ifs’
Long deep breaths to slow the pounding beat
Promising myself that whatever comes,
I will meet it with the same intensity and win

Dear Readers: Recently, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am still trying to process it all, and as I work through it, I write when I can. This is a poem I wrote describing what comes and goes inside my head, heart, and body with each new test I go through. I would greatly appreciate any and all positive thoughts, prayers, and healing vibes. Love and Peace to you all- Linda
