the world lulled into a waltz
tis blurry who talks the talk
hopscotch scrawls who walks the walk
future visions blow hot and cold
life with no purpose gets mighty old
seems high five awes don’t erase the flaws
lessons with no plot get no applause
lackluster society doesn’t connect the dots
this dilly-dally world tarnishes the bot
gumption and prudence still adrift
mankind’s journey a repetitive tiff
repeat after me, life’s still a gift

A gander at me –
I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 20 years being rewarded both professionally and personally. Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams by doing things I enjoy…spending time with family, learning, sharing, traveling, writing poetry and encouraging others to pursue their goals.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. – Melody Beattie
Throwback to my Tuesday Chatter series, since retired.
I love this poem. How we are just not looking deep enough into life.

You’re right Eugenia. This crisis has made us turn inwards. A good thing.

Yes, life’s still heavenly gift
And white doves will still fly over the cliff
