Adored your opening paragraph….superb…
” I looked out the window at the rain trickling down the glass. The droplets raced each other down. The one I picked didn’t win, which sucked. I always tended to pick the slower droplets. Perhaps me focusing on them made them slower.”

I loved your audio reading Stephen, your personal accentuated the essence of words…..and this piece appealed to me

Happy Monday. Hope everyone is safe and well. This started out as a celebration of spring, or that’s what I intended, but it morphed into something else as I wrote. It seems that’s the way it wanted to stay for now–no matter how I tried to change it into what I wanted.
