annoyed by recent events
where’s the common sense
so much harried flurry
our thoughts paled and blurry
hapless sheeple follow the parade
so proud of their masquerade
they hide behind masked faces
too intoxicated to play their aces
they’re no names but play the game
wondering where to lay the blame
the playground bully is an adult
a doyen of the word insult
time’s up, let’s clink cups
and chinwag about wazzup
into, onto, about fake news
life’s short dance for those accused
seems mindfulness a lost art
life’s a gamble served à la carte

A gander at me –
I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 20 years being rewarded both professionally and personally. Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams by doing things I enjoy…spending time with family, learning, sharing, traveling, writing poetry and encouraging others to pursue their goals.
A throwback to my Tuesday Chatter series, since retired.
Deja vu!
