THROWBACK FRIDAY: Orange Balloon Baseball, a poem written with my daughter in 2014

Orange balloon baseball
And wooden bedroom stick
Collections of treasures
For a 7 year old girl with dad

Blowing up mattress with mom
10 year old boy treasures
This moment collected the
Balloons, oranges, and balls.

Mom, Dad look for stillness
As balls, balloons, and spring-
Butt kids find walls safe to bounce
From thought to thought like youth.

Written sometime in 2014 with my daughter. In honor of spending a wonderful week with her and my son. Last time I visited, she had found this in one of her journals and saved it for me. Happy Dad.
