Throwback Friday -“These times” – Eugenia

Stiff-necked operators

public disquiet

an awkward time

Life is a gamble

not one size fits all

sign on the dotted line

Bad decisions or good stories

don’t manic your panic

there’s nowhere to sign

The GPS lost its way

navigational whoops

best be on time

Unversed perfection

festers societal woes

a sign of the times

A gander at me –
I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 20 years being rewarded both professionally and personally. Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams by doing things I enjoy…spending time with family, learning, sharing, traveling, writing poetry and encouraging others to pursue their goals.

This poem originated (April 2018) from my Tuesday Chatter series, since retired.

  1. Eugi,

You can turn a phrase, these are awesome: don’t manic your panic and navigational whoops… smiled big when I read those. Don’t manic your panic… I want to just run around the house and say that to everyone. Hey… “don’t manic your panic, chill to the navigational whoops, see daisy stop milking those spilts”

I am cracking up here… in the best way.

    • Thank you, Stephen. This poem is part of my Tuesday Chatter series, which I retired. With that said, I am pulling all my poems from those posts before I trash them. I have a slew of poems with what I call a “shoulder pad attitude” and will be publishing them on Throwback Fridays.

I’m glad you find them entertaining! 😁
