Welcome to Promote a Poet/Writer Thursday! This is the day of the week where all members of the Go Dog Go Café Community are invited to introduce a Poet or Writer they enjoy reading.
Participating is really fast and simple- in the comments below, post the link for the Home Page of the Poet/Writer you are introducing to us and tell us briefly why you think they are special.
We encourage all of you to visit these blogs (or social media pages) and get acquainted with some great new writers. You never know who you might meet. . .
Happy reading!
Check out Kim Russell for beautiful observed poems about nature (and other stuff, but I particularly enjoy her nature poems) https://writinginnorthnorfolk.com/2020/02/06/autumn-and-winter-duet/

If I might be so bold as to recommend two, here is a very talented fantasy author. In looking at her posts, I don’t feel she gets the attention she deserves. https://kingjasteroth.com/

My selection is a brilliant poet, Jude. Here is his lovely poem about love – https://wordeologist.wordpress.com/2020/02/05/perfect-love-a-haibun/

LOL, Eugi, thanks for sharing Jude with us today. Of course, I got mixed up when visiting Jude’s blog and said Colleen… well it makes sense in my head… it shouldn’t in anyone else’s for their own safety.

Good morning Baristas and Guests!
Very excited to see so many promotions this week, seven so far and shortly eight! This is such an important part of the cafe for so many reasons. A couple come to mind:
1. Giving a chance for new bloggers and writers to have a forum for their writing and hopefully gain follower-ship as well as grow their personal community of support.
2. Inviting in some of the more experienced and ‘followed’ bloggers into the Cafe for them to see the work we are doing here, encourage the new and the old in their efforts to live a creative life, and hopefully offer suggestions of all types and flavors to fan our inner creative flames.
On point 2. I am inviting in Bette A. Stevens, Maine Author to the Cafe to have a look around. She has been a frequent visitor at Fullbeard Lit, and, well, color my New England bias – I grew up just a short 10 minute drive from Maine and now my oldest son goes to college in the Pine Tree State, aka Vacationland. Bette has a large following and offers writing tips on her website. Pay her a visit and help her celebrate Maine’s bicentennial in 2020!

Tanya,
Wonderful to have a second share, and this is a powerful video. I will give a second shout out to a frequent guest, Lorraine Lewis at https://blindwilderness.wordpress.com/aboutme/ and think I need to find a way to see if they have connected with one another.
