it wasn’t that long ago
yesteryear’s gone you know
life not tied with a bow
by now you must know
indeed some highs
indeed some lows
overacted dramas
put on airs
vicarious judgments
gossipy stares
competing regrets
struggling upsets
entertainment
ahead of its time
you know

A gander at me –
I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 20 years being rewarded both professionally and personally. Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams by doing things I enjoy…spending time with family, learning, sharing, traveling, writing poetry and encouraging others to pursue their goals.
If life were predictable, it would cease to be life, and be without flavor. — Eleanor Roosevelt

Eugi,
I love how you make the flow of rhythm and rhyme feel so easy. Your poetry dances and so brings us to those places in our own memory where we experienced the not neatness of life as Sadje points out. And yet… we have this communion that says, in-spite of the messy, we carry onward.
Thanks for sharing this!
