Winter Moments- Michael Erickson

Marble rolls within a sky,

Framed by a frozen slice of my world.

I wish to pause within this moment,

To stretch the possibilities of forgotten youth.

And take the beauty that so abundantly surrounds,

My troubled and aging mind.

A feeling quite like a waiting storm,

Is gathering slow beneath my chest.

Please help me find my center here,

Where Mother Earth speaks her wisdom.

Remember well the simplistic peace,

That came without price or intention.

Be who you are as a frost upon the ground,

Devoid of guile and selfish intentions.

Blanket yourself with each whispered hope,

And embark upon the rawness of truth.

Breathe in the calmness of this moment,

Mother Earth is waiting to renew you.
