Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.
Today’s prompt: Use the phrase “standing in the mirror, she….” in a piece of prose or poetry
Happy Writing!

just before the door that leads out into the world
thoughtless glances
and discerning gazes
are offered toward
clothes that have changed
and hair styled just so
what did you expect to see
a beginning, an end
standing in the mirror naked
is the motivator we should always heed
it’s you
its me

Standing in the mirror
She wanted to see
Beauty reflecting
Instead
Compounding negativity
Drawn to her flaws
Just needing
To feel something else
For a moment
To be pretty
A want
A wish
A dream really
Then she replayed his words
Soulful intensity beaming
Sultry eyes so deep
Curves of delicious heat
Body stunning
Chest incredibly sensual
Golden hair framing superb shoulders
Sleek
Sexy
Through his words
She could see
Her beautiful body
As he did
An act of self care
Embracing sexuality
She was appealing
Through his eyes
I see
A gorgeous reflection of me
Exquisite indeed
