Yes , so true, I’ve only been with WordPress for 2 and a half years, but the number of wonderful friends I’ve made through my poetry has been amazing….. I’ve lots of poems over many years, I’ll attach this little piece, which is one of my fav’s
Dreams Of The Heart
I cannot walk the continents
Like the intrepid Marco Polo
But my feet have felt the sands of time
Pass between my toes
I have not sailed the high seas
Like the courageous Christopher Columbus
But my body has bathed
In an ocean full of kind hearts
I’m yet to fly in space
Like the brave Neil Armstrong
But I have reached for the stars
And touched my soul’s dreams

Hi! And merry Christmas to all of WP!
Do most of you have a favourite spot or place that brings out the best in you? For me, it is Rishikesh, a small town in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas, by the Ganges. Here’s the result…

Hope you enjoy! And once again, season’s greetings!

I adored this wondrous piece Jen…. Metaphorically the “statues” cry for help could be anyone’s (or me) desperate plea for assistant, and the willingness of the innocent child to go to the statues aide, could be the youth(or me) of our world…. and I see the mother as the country’s government, not having any imagination or belief in their children for the future of our planet……. yes… I think my imagination is over 100 years old, but I’m still very young at heart…. xxxx

I adored your forthright poem Robin…..
“Time Needs No Command
The white moon has fallen late
The new daytime awaits
Rollover out of dream time
Rollover to the edge of time
Leave midnight’s caressing lullaby
And discover the blue curtain sky
It’s time to stretch and yawn
It’s time to feel the misty dawn
Stand in front of time’s open hands
Stand stoically upon time’s ancient land’s
The cloudy skies of daylight do fly
As moments of time flow swiftly by
Time moves on, needing no command
The sands of time, wait for no man”
