Calendar Pages – prikcab (Ian Perlman)

recent dawns have her bound in chains newly linked

an innocent young spirit has begun to shrink

I promise to not let her drown

even as I’m sinking down

I keep feeling I should be further down this road

leaving mistakes strewn among the miles strode

my head is filled with words of song

that dreams have written all night long

if I ink them on the page or sing them out

will that alleviate pain and doubt

I live my days

learning to use the love you gave

believing what happens has some reason

keeps me moving from season to season

effects

  1. The poem, and these words resonated purely with my thoughts tonight…. it’s 3.00am and my dream is alive in my head…..
