Welcome to Promote a Poet/Writer Thursday! This is the day of the week where all members of the Go Dog Go Café Community are invited to introduce a Poet or Writer they enjoy reading.
Participating is really fast and simple- in the comments below, post the link for the Home Page of the Poet/Writer you are introducing to us and tell us briefly why you think they are special.
We encourage all of you to visit these blogs (or social media pages) and get acquainted with some great new writers. You never know who you might meet. . .
Happy reading!
Hi everyone! I found this newer blog from Shaun Jex who has such talent for rhyme and rhythm and fun verse. This link is to one of my favorites from his blog:

I loved the way it expressed the way one can connect with another without physical touch i.e. through the eyes, mind and soul! Something those in long distance relationships can identify with!

One of my favorite poets and human beings on WordPress is Eric Syrdal at My Sword and Sheild. His writing is full of gorgeous imagery, transports the writer to another time and place, and often epic. I hope you enjoy him as much as I do. https://myswordandshield.wordpress.com/2019/04/26/we-the-broken/

I just happened upon this – you kept this on the down-low. I’m honestly incredibly flattered, and surprised! Thank you, truthfully this has made my day.

You are most welcome, I wasn’t sure how to promote the already famous.

Ha! And really, I am no way near being deserving of that comment. But if it’s ok I’ll pretend it’s true for just a moment, just to bask in it a little as if it was. Thank you ESP 😍

Here’s a poem from this week that I really liked https://grapeling.wordpress.com/2019/08/21/rue/
The repetition is very effectively used to push in different directions and then the ending BAM. Great stuff.

She is a master of imagery! I truly enjoy Yassy’s work because she is able to create beautiful scenes that reel her readers in! I am sharing this piece by Yassy – https://yassy66.wordpress.com/2019/08/21/of-shooting-sunbeams/
I don’t find a home page for Yassy.

I have also found jazzy’s work to be compelling in recent days, her emphasis on poetic structure is just simply inspiring …
