After many years on this earth, I have some to realize that sadness is another facet of this beautiful thing we call life. You honor your sadness in this poem, but there is also a glimmer of the light within you. Keep writing, and your light will shine.

Oh, I know that ricotta cheese and chocolate chips is the best, but it didn’t rhyme. LOL! The cannoli filling was actually used in my wedding cake. OMG! it was divine! 🤗

This really made me think- I suffered a lot of loss and trauma early in my life but I think that it has made me both more resilient and more empathetic, which has served me well as the years have passed. It also forced me to accept that life is full of challenge at an early age- I do not take moments of peace and joy lightly.
