WAITING, SIMPLY WAITING

By Charles Robert Lindholm

A little forest cabin

Just off the beaten trail

It’s nothing grand or fancy

But it’s me in each detail

Sitting by the fire

With a blanket and some tea

Waiting, simply waiting

For love to sit with me

Outside a snowstorm’s raging

In a world of bitter cold

Lonely hearts still hungry

Crave the glitter and the gold

Waiting, simply waiting

Lonely, fed and warm

‘Til the one who’s wanting true love

Seeks refuge from the storm

  1. Nicely penned, dear Charles, expressing your inner yearning for real love
who can share it with you, while the world outside is cold and stormy, where
people meet each other with cold and frosty attitudes, unlike the warm inner fireplace
where the warmth is present, waiting for that kind person finding access to you, to sit at the inner fireplace with you in harmony and mutual understanding.

    Excellently expressed, my friend 🙂
Have a good start in this new week

    • So happy you enjoyed it!! Ha. I’m not up on abbreviations. What is IMO?? I just discovered the wheel. LOL! Yes, true love is very much worth the wait. Hope you had a great weekend! Happy Monday, Dear E!!!
