The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.
Today’s prompt:
Write a poem around the topic of Summer Rain
Looking forward to reading what you write!
Summer is not rain
Nor is rain summer
But one needs the other
Cannot be without both being
t
Just as winter
requires the sun to shine
to display its splendour
to reflect its ice particles
Into the crystal diamonds
of exuberant life
Becoming
the showy expression
of a Natural heritage
wherein all
is related to all
And all is as it should be

Enjoy the 2 prompts for today! Double your fun😊
“Summer Rains”
Summer rains
holding her melancholy
hostage
with cold fingers
and angry thunder
discordant rhythms
and ruthless winds
She wept and prayed
for sun’s saving grace
to shine
and release her
from the torture

Hii..
Here’s my response for today’s prompt..
Delusional drought
parching the brain…
Mind stuck in the desert
of agony and pain….
Thoughts wilting
in the arid plain….
Life craving for the
soul drenching summer rain….
Thanks!!!!
Hope you like it….

Such vivid imagery and the reader can feel the desperation for rain to cleanse and heal the soul. Excellent write.

This is quite a story, and your wording of lines is brilliant. Never thought anyone would combine these 2 prompts, but you did it so well. Thank you for contributing!!
