Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.
Today’s prompt:
Use the phrase “crushed dreams” in a piece of poetry or prose.
Happy writing!

Repetition
———————–
As I walk slowly
counting each step
precariously
not to miss any step
I keep walking on my crushed dreams
turning them into the soft powder
pulverizing them
soft enough for you
to walk over them.
again and again.

Hi
Thanks for the challenge. I love your site. Here is my take on Crushed Dreams
Tell me words of love
Hold me to you tight
Wrap your warm arms around me
I promise I won’t wriggle or fight
*
Whisper in my ear
How much you love me so
Look into my face with affection
Please don’t let me go
*
Sit me on your knee
Jiggle me up and down
Please don’t stop
But if you do
I promise I won’t cry or frown
*
I’ll be a good girl daddy
Just you wait and see
I’ll eat my veggies, count to ten
If you just stay and keep on loving me
*
Never leave me daddy
You vowed to never leave my side
I will hold your hand everyday
I long to be your joy, your pride
*
You abandoned my daddy
You left me it would seem
You made a promise to me
Your gift to me, a crushed dream
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 🙏

Hello all..
Here’s a little attempt from my side…
Shards
of her broken desires
and crushed dreams
still pierce
her fragile heart…..
and she
bleeds poetry
as the stars
shine on her
deepest scars…
Thanks!!!

A bit late (it’s the 17 hour time difference)
‘Shared Them Round’
Slurries, slushies, confectioned ice,
such sweetness
palatable and fun
I crushed my dreams with lime
and shared them round.
