Water Mirror- Michael Erickson

How I wish to push through to your side,

Your world seems so much wider than mine.

I always find myself waiting on the edge,

For someone to pull me in.

Bound to wonder beyond my world,

I long to feel a different star.

But alas too late I turn away,

Chained by the setting of my sun.

One day I’ll have the courage to sink my body into the depths,

And cross the bridge between our homes across a vast cavity of time.

Michael is a husband, father, writer, poet, and aspiring author. He finds time to scribble down his thoughts in the dead of night, between ghosts and night owls. If you’d like to read more of his poetry follow the link here. Or to visit his full blog, ‘The Ink Owl’ click here.
