I posted an unconventional poetry prompt to my blog this week. Never seen much like it, myself. Everyone who is interested is invited to participate. After a few tries, I settled on calling it “The Cafe Philos Poetry Prompt for Outlaw Boys and Girls — and Them that be Wild Animals”. Just for kicks, that name.

Thanks for ‘PYM’ post Beth – it came through at ~ 2pm in the UK – can I ask if they can be scheduled about 8 hours earlier for when the UK/Europe wakes – by early afternoon I’m usually into other things!
Now, as I’m here, a rare one from me – a response to a writing prompt!

Quite an enjoyable poem, EDC! Thank you for it.
I’m fascinated by your background in both the sciences and the arts. It rather supports my insufferable contention that artists and scientists have much more in common than most folks might suppose.

Thank you, Paul – as I mentioned I rarely write to a prompt – but this one peaked my interest, probably as a chance to write about something dark. Ah, the old scientist/artist thing – I wrote a little about this on my ‘about’ page. Eric.
