Welcome to Promote Yourself Monday. All Go Dog Go Cafe readers, guest writers, and baristas are invited to post one link to one specific post (600 words or less please!) from your blog into the comments section below.
If you post a link, be sure to read some of the other great writing people have linked to.
This week is not to promote me, really. There are friends of mine who have survived the Camp Fire which occurred in Northern California and wiped out everything. I know that there have been devastating fires in Canada and Australia and hundreds of other places on nearly every continent. This one just happened to be near me and involved people I love. These are their words. http://muellermusings.com/2019/01/18/kindness-and-courage/

Hello Everyone,
It’s Monday already, the weekend seem to Zoom by so fast 💨 running us right into “Promote Yourself Monday.”
Many of us may even have the day off to commemorate
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King was a Minister,a Civil Rights Activist…
One of his favorite quotes is listed below:
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

This is a dark poem about vulnerability and how painful it can be discovering our inner layers. Matryoshka dolls have always intrigued me, and are often known as Russian nesting dolls. Sometimes I do write about rainbows too, but this one is not really a post if you are wanting a rainbow…

Do they balance each other?

Windy, sulphurous greetings! With not near enough shame and absolutely no modicum of decorum, I am promoting my silly books of poetry, including my book of farts, Passings:
It’s a free borrow thru Kindle Unlimited, or a cheap 99 cents to own outright.
May I vent a few excerpts?
Morning-after Spaghetti Blast
Any chef would be proud
Of the garlic-laced cloud
That I belched during yesternight’s meal.
So it’s really no wonder
That this morning’s thunder
From my bowels caused the whole house to squeal.
Dropping a Few Stone(s)
Losing weight’s no thing.
Every time my bottom sings
My last meal takes wings.
Behaving with Decorum
Sitting in my office chair,
Behaving with decorum;
Once I vent my lunch-time air,
It’s really gonna floor ’em.
