The Wolf Moon
high
in the night sky
burning
awakens
an inner
instinctive
yearning
in my soul
Many moons
have come and gone
since you left me
and I moved on
but late at night
in the full moon’s light
old memories haunt me
as I lose the fight
and remember you
and my heart cries out
in a mournful howl
