We are back! Happy New Year to all of you.
Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

By odd coincidence today I woke and noted this – a 10 to 15 minute thing – more or less much as it is – save for a ‘new’ first and last line too:
Notes of a new dream, as sleep broke,
station platform, he’s there standing,
she walks briskly, looking, half-head turns,
he not seen, her name called, her pace up now,
he’s not heard … she hears him.
She stop turns, right angle,
he’s caught up, her face seen,
it’s light, the way her hair frames.
picture perfect, her words – ‘when do we’
he kissed, she kissed, new day, their dawn.

Eric that’s beautiful. Love having you contribute! And I love then end with “their dawn”😊

Thank you, Beth … this actually was a dream I woke from today – a rare thing, I rarely dream nowadays – I made the notes, as poetic prose, my usual way – and later on – your prompt came – strange the way days are some days!

Thank you, Megha – it’s mid-afternoon here – one of those hazy blue sky days in England – I’d daydream but reality is I’ve got to go do the school run – pick up the grand kids!

Happy New Year Beth and Devereaux!!
Here is my response
“That bright crimson tinge in the morning
a peek of which from my bedroom
warms my souls
and send that rush of life
thorough my searing pores
That light aura of dew drops in the air
laced with the freshness of a beautiful morning
the secrets held in those puny drops
as they carry the love of the night
through the morning
That fleeting sense of the aubade
that tenderness laced Zephyr
that calming sense of closeness
gives birth to my desires
Each day brings
new dawn,
a new dream,
when I see your gentle face
perched on the pillow next to mine.”

Here’s my piece “New Dawn”
I awakened
new kind of dawn
streaming through windows
dancing on bedsheets
tickling my heart
with unfulfilled dreams
begging for release
I grinned at the day
felt flutters deep within
and knew God had given me
new wings with which to fly

Kristian this is wonderfully honest piece. There are very many out there with fears of the unknown or stepping forward into the “new.” I think all of us need that courage sometime to challenge ourselves. Really like this.

Wow….Tuesday Writing Prompt is electrifying. WordPress Authors you , the things I have read so far are amazing. I am so excited to be apart of this wonderful community.💜
I am getting a late start, as the dawning of my new day begun quite early. It’s the beginning of a New Year it is quite clear that we are in the Greatest Season this time of the year. We are dawning on new days ahead as we set the pace for the days to follow. As our pens leak with so much grace and power we can be the Voices of Those Unheard. The words that will Breathe Life into Literacy. That New Life will stir up the creativity and passion of Teachers equipping them with fresh ideas to build Foundational Reading Programs that will embrace the lives of young children.

Reading is the gift that can change lives! I struggled with reading for several years until I got a teacher who took the extra time and trouble to help me, now I am an avid reader.

I like you saying writers can be the “voices of those unheard.” That sounds so powerful, and I believe it is true. Literacy programs are so important, and every child deserves the gift of being able to read. As a former language arts teacher, I whole heartedly agree with you!
