Beneath the Lights- Michael Erickson

Hold me here beneath the lights,

And bask within this Christmas glow.

Outside has grown dark with night,

As the air fills with frosted down.

The world has grown still here,

Wrapped in your warm embrace.

And as one our hearts beat to the rhythm of this life,

Content with the existence that is ours.

Though parties will end and gifts grow old,

Our bond will never cease.

Hold me here beneath the lights,

And never let me go.

Michael is a husband, father, writer, poet, and aspiring author. He finds time to scribble down his thoughts in the dead of night, between ghosts and night owls. If you’d like to read more of his poetry follow the link here. Or to visit his full blog, ‘The Ink Owl’ click here.
