Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge October 9, 2018

Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.

The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15minutes,  inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting.  Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support.  All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate.  Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

Today’s prompt:

What does it mean to you seeing the greens of summer change to the brilliant/faded colors of autumn?  How does it make you feel? What thoughts do the colors bring about?  It may be beautiful; it may be somber.  Write any kind of piece you wish.

Looking forward, as always, to reading your work!!! Happy writing 📝

  3. I’m a summer girl. One of pinks, few clothes, poolsides and fru-fru drinks. Yet autumn calls me with college football, Octoberfests, non-sweating days, and colors that take my breath away. And it always reminds me of changes in life. Some we do not choose. I lost my father in October, and two of my best friends lost their mothers. So to me, it is a time of loss, yet rebirth, and your own self has to figure out how to be reborn. I have to look into the beauty and find comfort in my loss somehow. Falling leaves seem to be falling dreams, yet maybe they are dreams already lived, and next spring new dreams will sprout. It’s a perplexing time for me, yet one that makes me think, wonder, and remember what once was, and think about what will be.
