A humorous look at a serious question. The logic is accurate and sound, but the comical lunacy is pronounced:

A very intriguing and way long read! I may be a barista here but at heart a scientist, practiced for 40 odd years, at my peak I guess I did plenty to disturb the equilibrium ( let’s call it bias) of my peers – now looking back turns out none more disturbed (lets call that bias too) than me!

By the way, I long harbored the notion that scientists and artists were the coolest people on the face of the earth — then I realized just about every decent person is. But I still have a soft spot for scientists and artists.

It’s been my experience that many scientists are artists too – thin lines between logical and abstract minds? I’ll catch up with your blog later this week. Eric.

I agree. There’s a lot more similarities between artists and scientists than most of us realize. Scientists tend to cross over into the arts more than artists do into the sciences, though. I wonder why that’s so?
I’d be honored if you’d drop by my blog!

My poem An Opera Calls, was a difficult piece fro me to write, the actual opera was not a traditional one, nor where it was performed, and I hope my words do justice to the unique atmosphere of the unusual production.

Hi Everyone and Happy Monday.
I have just written a poem in response to a picture prompt.
The poem is about anxiety but I couldn’t think of a good name for it, so suggestions welcome.

Here’s a poem from last week. It’s in a form called Wrapped Refrain 2 which means a syllable count of 14, 14, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 14, 14, and rhyming pattern of AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, and 4 stanzas where the first 4 or so words (up to the entire line) must be repeated at the beginning of the last line of the last stanza. I often forget this part!

Rhyming is so challenging. Congratulations for constructing a unified work.

Thanks so much. Initially when I tried to do rhyming on diverse poetry forms it was a lot harder than it is now. For many poems, not all, I let them sit a day and sometimes the rhyming problem works itself out.
Thanks so much 🙂

Let me thank you for sharing, and allowing me to share. My blog is mostly about memoriesofatime, various times, and mostly past. Much controversy exists whether we should look to the past, or not. You choose, decide.
“Thinking too much about the future resembles thinking too much about breathing–the result is to make one feel very uncomfortable. Best to glory in what was finest in the past, to concentrate on the present, and to allow the future to fend for itself.” –Joseph Epstein
“You live only as long as the last person who remembers you.” –Westworld Passenger Season 2, Episode 10.
“There is not past, no future; everything flows in an eternal present.” …. “Hold to the now, the here, through which all future plunges to the past.” –James Joyce
Here is what I offer today, some of my PAST labors:
