Under the starry night sky
expelling a long long sigh
Each night I’ve waited in vain
for the wishing star to make an appearance again

I’ve waited for thee
to wish for someone to love me
To accept me for what I am
and not someone who’s feelings a sham

Pacing the ground
with no one, I can vent my exasperation around
From afar, distinct thundering hooves
unnerved anything that moves

Out of nowhere powerful hands
swept me off my feet
Such a strong body
enveloped me

I pondered about what just occurred
a serendipity concurred
I felt as radiant as the night sky
with the full moon so nigh

The gallant guy from the neighborhood
has intentions that are good
He saw me night after night
staring under blanketed starry night

A grizzly bear he spied
about to pounce me by my side
He wasted no breath
in rescuing…
